This article was sent in one of my group messages with my friends this week and I thought it was one of the most astounding facts I have heard from the NFL draft ever.
The 2020 LSU football team that was lead by Heisman winning quarterback and first overall draft pick, Joe Burrow, were the first team in the history of the draft to have a player from each position, offense and defense, to have a player drafted to an NFL team in the same draft.
This was quite the feat for the football team who already achieved the highest honor of winning the National Championship.
Todd Politz is the author of this article and I thought he did a great job by making sure that this was not all about the superstars on the team but how great of an accomplishment this was for the entire program.
It is a team sport after all and Politz was able to highlight that very well in the article.
